Different strokes for different folks
1. If you are a meditator, then a consciousness journal may be of interest to you. Its where you do your automatic writing and messages from consciousness.
2. Some people write down their dreams. There are subconscious messages that arise in the early hours of the morning. Keeping a dream journal can be very interesting.
3. I have a friend who has been keeping a food journal for many years. she writes down everything she eats in a day. When you start out it is very surprising how much we actually eat. If you are starting an eating plan, a food journal can be super helpful.
4. My son is a personal trainer. He encourages people to keep a record of their training so you know which body part you are training for that day. You can make your own training journal. Over time, you can see what works best for you. It is helpful to record your BMI and measurements so you can track your bodies changes.
5. Keeping an appreciation journal is one of the things Abraham encourages in their book with Ester Hicks, 'Ask and it is given'. The emotional state of appreciation is one of the highest vibrational states you can be in. It will connect you with your own vortex and help you to manifest great things in your life.
6. It is fun to use a journal to record your day, whether you doodle in it, or sketch out an idea, or record a conversation, phone number, address or recipe. It's an anything journal.
7. I keep a small journal in my hand bag as a to do journal. I have costings for paper for making my journals, things to do, grocery lists, contact numbers, directions. It's like my anything journal but messier. Once I have done a task it gets crossed off and the page gets clipped to the one before. Unless I am looking back to when I last bought the pool floater, I don't look back in it.
To me, the very best gift is a journal. It is the kind of gift that develops a life alongside the receiver. It should look worn and well thumbed and contain all the internal workings of a well loved life.
